Nothing like the 1.0->1.5 transition, but still some considerable new features. Almost all of which are designed to make current and future trade communication that much easier and more efficient:
Quick Links You'll now see an expandable/collapsible menu at the footer of each TM page. It lists the URL/BBCODE/HTML links to 3 or 4 of your important TM pages so you can copy/paste for your trading partners and in your threads quickly. It also provides preview links, so you can see what your (potential) partner will see. so now instead of having to create your own links to give out and post in your thread, you can simply copy your desired link and paste it. When editing a trade offer it will also show the links for that specific trade offer. So when someone asks for a link to a specific trade offer, just go to the Edit page for that offer and copy the link from your Quick Links menu. Trade Update PM Types Now when updating a trade you have 5 options with regards to PMing your trade partner:
CHANGE Default is now "Basic Update" so you aren't forced to pick a PM option now. If you want to send a different PM type or no PM at all, you'll need to select appropriately. Linked Trade Offers Along the same lines as Quick Links, each Trade Offer ID from your My Trade Offers is now hyperlinked so you can easily preview what another member will see when viewing that trade offer. Also provides easy copy/paste capabilities for each trade offer. Member Dropdowns Almost every place a member's name is displayed in TM, it is now connected to a dropdown with all the handy profile links. Listed in: My Trades, Update Trade, Member Trade Offers Header, Member Comments Header, Member Comments Made Header, Trade Details, and in the TM Mod pages. One example of the improved navigability is instead of having to go to the person's profile to PM them, you can instead select the Send Message link from the dropdown (behaves just like the Topic View dropdown). Another handy bit is that the Offline/Online image is shown, so you can easily see if a trade partner is online at the moment (again, just like Topic View). Offers/Comments Header Improvements The Custom Header introduced in TM 1.5 has been improved a bit to work more like we are used to (profile sidebar next to every post). It shows the member's Primary Group image, Personal Tag image/title, Member Title, and the long narrow box that housed various profile stats (posts, member#, etc) also mimics the post header bar. Comment Approval/Denial PM Notices There was a bug with 1.5 that accidentally sent out New Comment PMs to members who didn't actually have a new comment. The entire Comment Approval/Denial system has been simplified, now there are only 2 possible PMs. 1) You have a new comment. 2) Your comment was denied. This should make things easier to understand, and the error should be eradicated. And for TM Admins there is a Stats page, not available for normal members, but might be soon if I make it prettier. Also various pages have been optimized to run quicker. And a few cosmetic improvements and fixes.  oops, forgot to single out one of the upgrades that will be noticable, I'll quote kinneylamb now that he has posted about it already: QUOTE the addition of the BB codes is very helpful, and the 'start new trade' info boxes are larger, prettier and more neat. A4F is getting hotter and hotter, showing off its hot stuff now, i see. Let me know if you experience any errors. holy crap the drop down menu for the user names is awesome!
the addition of the BB codes is very helpful, and the 'start new trade' info boxes are larger, prettier and more neat. A4F is getting hotter and hotter, showing off its hot stuff now, i see. thank you for doing all that. you always improve in the right direction. |

And I just realized that the Edit Trade Offer page goes over the width of the main skin (at least in FF), I believe that is at least in part a result of the larger awesome emoticons as the first emoticon page.
