On many different freebie sites I have seen it stated that a 2 year contract with AT&T is required if you get a free iphone.
Is this actually true or are the freebie companies just saying this to cover their butts since the Iphones will come locked to the AT&T Network. Basically, can I get the Iphone for my freebie, no strings attached, and then unlock it to use on another network contract free? |

Well right now Apply only has a contract with AT&T, so they are the only ones that can carry the iPhone. In a few months though (June i think) the contract runs out and it is then open to anyone, so i would think then you could get it unlocked and have a contract with any cell phone company and it work.

Right now you can unlock iphones yourself (but it takes some research), and you can use it on any network that uses sim cards (tmobile and at&t)

I believe they ship actual iPhone and you can do whatever you can do with it! Use it on AT&T or any other network or sell it! |

how many referrals? you can probably tell from the referral amount if your iphone will come with a contract or if they purchase it somewhere else without a contract. again if you have an account then open a support ticket and ask!

Due to the restrictions on the iPhones now with the contracts being required to avoid the extremely high costs, a Gift Card for the amount of the iPhone will be sent in the place of the actual phone. That way you can use the gift card to purchase it and get service through the company you decide to go with.
