So everytime I try to search for members topics or posts via the drop-down link when you click their username, I ALWAYS get the flood control error even if I haven't searched for anything ever, and wait forever after I perform the search.

The error returned was:
Sorry, the board administrator has enabled search flood control. Please wait at least 20 seconds before trying again.

What gives?

What I'm guessing is happening, is that when you click the link, for some reason it pings that url twice. This happened (or might still happen) in the Trade Manager with the dropdown. It has something to do with the javascript dropdown menu and perhaps particular browsers (like Chrome).

This might be related, when I'm in Chrome and I click your name to open the dropdown and go down to Find Member's Topics, and middle click to open in a new tab, it opens it in a new tab AND opens it in the current tab.

So you get a flood control message on the 2nd attempt, even though it appears like the first attempt.

Try on another browser and see if that works.
