There are going to be times when an offer you complete wont credit for you. And i have many of my refs not understand what they need to do at this point to manually get their credit so i thought i would write a small little post to help as ive had several people not quite understand.

All freebie sites have a support section. Within this support section is a way to submit a "NO Credit Request", wether it be via a special no credit request ticket or a regular support ticket. All sites are different but they will tell you the timeframe you must wait before submitting this no credit request. Usually it is waiting as long as the offer stated it would take to credit, ie. an instant offer you could submit for within say 15 mins. They make you wait cause sometimes the offer does credit on its own but takes a little longer to do so. Pay attention to the offer you did because some say they take longer to credit ( a few days maybe ). Basically you fill in the blanks on the ticket and you must make sure to include the confirmation email from the offer and that it has the full headers. (Full Headers and Body of email BOTH need to be included )

The two main things you need to know and understand are Confirmation emails and Full Headers. Ohh and how to copy and paste. ( dont laugh ive had some that didnt know how)

To copy/paste things you place the mouse cursor near what you are gonna copy amd hold down the left mouse button. Then ( while still holding down the button) drag the cursor down across evrything you want to copy. This should highlight it. Next let go of the left mouse button and it should still be highlighted. Now place the cursor over a section that is highlighted and click the right mouse button. A box should pop up with options an dyou wanna click the one that says "copy". Now just goto the place you want to transfer all the highlighted stuff to and place the mouse cursor there. Again click the right mouse button and the box will pop up again with options. Now you wanna click on "paste". ( use left button when clicking copy or paste ) This should "paste" all the stuff you had highlighted into this new space.

Confirmation Emails...... About 99% of the offers you complete will send an email ( sometimes more than one) to the email address you used when completing the offer. Basically the email thanks you for your order and/or shows your receipt details about your payment or whatever. It is VERY IMPORTANT you save this/these emails. This is what is gonna get you credit for doing the offer if it didnt automatically credit. I suggest making a special folder in your mailbox just for storing these emails.

Full Headers..... These basically add a bunch of routing info to your email instead of just the to and from. Different email programs have different ways of displaying emails with full headers, but it is important to do so before you copy/paste the confirmation email in your credit request. Otherwise you WILL NOT get credit. I will go over the 3 most popular; gmail, yahoo, and hotmail. EDIT*** added comcast mail as well as excite mail. EDIT** Updated with outlook info

For yahoo, if you scroll to the bottom of your email and look at the right hand side just above the "search the web" button you will see a link "Full headers". Click that link and it will refresh and now display your email with the full headers showing.

For hotmail, on the right side of your mailbox page you need to click the "options" link ( located just above "free newsletters" link ). Once you click that , on the left side will be some options. Goto Mail options and then click mail display settings. Now you will want to click "full" next to where it says Message Headers. Then click "ok" at bottom. You should now be able to click on your mail tab at the top to go back to your mailbox and read your emails. They should now display the full headers.

For Gmail, you must open the mail to read it. Then at the top right of the box that the email is displayed in will be "reply" and right next to that is a triangle on the right. Click this to open up a drop down menu. Now click on "show original". This will open up a new page and show the full email with headers.

For Comcast ( webmail ) , Just click "view source" which is located right next to the date ( Once you've opened the email to read it ). Now the full headers will be displayed.

For Excite (webmail ), Sign into your webmail account and click the "Mail Preferences" in the upper right of your screen, then click on the "Account preferences" link. Under "Message Reading Preferences" theres an option to "Display All Headers"

For Outlook/Outlook Express ( courtesy of "Tha Coach" ) Right click while the curser is on the line of the email in your inbox display and a menu will appear with a Properties button at the bottom of it. Left Click on the properties button. Now a message box with the emails title at the top will appear with 2 tabs in it, General (displayed) and Details (underneath). Left click on Details and a window titled "Internet Headers for this message" will display. Now copy paste these, then goback and copy paste the body of the email.


I hope that helps some of the newbies that we keep getting. Any more questions or clarifications just ask.


EDIT**** Some people are still confused by "FULL HEADERS" and do not undersatnd what they look like/are. Below i will show an email before and then after full headers are displayed. ( this is thru yahoo email but you will get the idea )

I myself use Outlook express as my mail server and since it allows get my my from work and from play all it once it is generally where I do most of my mail reading. I wanted to add to this topic info regarding headers when reading mail in Outlook,Outlook Express.

If you Click the Right mouse button while the curser is on the line of the email in your inbox display, I menu will appear with a Properties button at the bottom of it.

Left mouse button click on Propertiesbutton. Next, a message box with the title of the email at the top will apear. There will be 2 tabs in it, General(displayed) and Details underneath.

Left mouse button click on Details. This willdisplay a window titled " Internet headers for this message. You can then use the copy and paste technique to move the header info to the proper place in your CR request.

Now you can go back to where the body of the email is displayed and repeat the copy and paste technique to move that information to the CR request as well.


I hope this additional information is helpful for those using Outlook or Outlook Express to view their mail.

Unfortunately most sites REQUIRE the confirmation email to be submitted as their affiliates need that information to get you credit. Best thing you could do would be to call the customer service number for the offer you did and ask that a confirmation email be resent. Also check your junk/bulk folder as many times they get sent their.

I didn't get credit for the stamps.com offer and it was supposed to credit within an hour. It's been several hours. I did get the confirmation email, and I opened a support ticket about the problem before I realized there was a separate ticket for missing credit. I did fill that out with the full header and message and sent it in. My question is how long does it take to correct this...it said up to 2 weeks?!?! Does that mean I will miss out on this ref because the trader won't want to wait that long? Or because it is a Sunday, is it possible it might credit tomorrow? I checked the ratings on this offer and it said that at least one person didn't receive credit for it, and the average wait time was 1 day. Anyway, just wondered what to do in the situation. Would it be better to do another offer to complete this if it doesn't go through tomorrow? This was the last of three offers for the full credit to go through...frustrating.

The major downside with manual credits is yes, they often take weeks to process. Once in awhile you'll have one that goes through in a few days, and a couple of networks will credit you themselves after x number of days go by themseleves, provided that you properly submitted your ticket.

Whether or not to just do another offer depends on a few things - if there were any deadlines set for greening, the number of available offers left for you and how much they cost, and how the site's treated you so far with respect to crediting. I usually just do another offer, especially if I'm doing two to green and one has already gone through.

I don't think that many people will be willing to wait a month plus (and this is possible if not longer in some cases unsure.gif ) to get their green, but it depends on the situation - if it's a site where they are just getting referrals and cash out every now and again, it's probably not an issue. If it's a "one shot deal" site or there's a deadline, it may not be possible to wait if you want to fufill your trade.

Thanks Ken. I think I will see if it credits by tomorrow afternoon. If not, I will just do another offer. 2 went through and this was the 3rd and final one, so I really want to finish it off. What happens with the credit if it goes through 2 weeks later...what's the point?
