Has anyone noticed an increase in the amount of sales/spam phone calls since they started doing freebie offers? I figure a lot of the offer sites are passing on the personal information we give them. I've been getting calls about credit, magazines, and who knows what else... I used to get a couple of these kinds of calls, but the amount has gone way up recently. Have other freebie users noticed the same?

I've only gotten unwanted phone calls from one company, I'm not sure of their name anymore, so I simply called them back and told them politely that I wasn't interested in what they were offering.

Put your number on the national do-not-call list. Then they won't be able to call you anyway. The only annoying phone calls I get are bill collectors looking for my husband's siblings! They used to live here, and occasionally still use this as their address. It's frustrating---especially when they call during nap time!

I'm getting a handful more calls. But not an obnoxious amount

the do not call registry will not prevent these people from calling you since you've opted in by making the purchase (trial offer) through whatever offer it was that you did.

That's true- - once you've completed their survey or bought their item, you implicitly give them permission. I always say "please remove me from your calling list" and that usually does the trick.
