An advertising, or sponsored offer, is a special deal provided by free sites (contracts between the advertisers and the free sites) that aim to attract new customers to a product or service. Offers are incentivized, meaning the free sites that provide these deals are paid a commission by the advertising company for bringing them new customers.

Who Can Complete Offers

Offers are available to new customers only, unless specifically stated. Offers are generally only available to residents of the Unites States (U.S.), who are 18 years of age or older, and who have a valid credit card, unless otherwise stated in the Terms of Service.

However, there are many networks which support international offers. They are usually clearly marked. Although, sometimes you may need to check an offer to see if it available to international clients.

Pre-Paid Credit/Debit Card Policy

Advertisers do NOT want people using pre-paid credit/debit cards. This is because advertisers frequently get charge backs from users who forget about prepaid cards. The same concept applies to PayPal's one time use Secure Cards and all other payment methods that are not linked to a credit card or bank account for backup funding.

Types of Offers

There are many different kinds of offers, including but not limited to:

Free Trials

The advantage of free offers (or $1 offers) is clearly their low cost. Most of these offers are free only during a trial period. To avoid unnecessary costs, be sure to read the Terms of Service (this should be done for all offers). Some offers may make you wait until you become a paying member before you receive credit. Also, after completing some of these free trial offers, there may be other offers that are offered. These are not necessary to get credit, but may offer incredible savings. As always, offers should be completed because of having interest and not because of price.

Trials

Most offers on freebie sites are considered "trial offers". Trial offers are usually offered at a promotional rate (discounted) for first time users. The idea here is similar to that of the "free trial", which is to offer new customer a test of their product or service without them having to worry about the price.

Offers of Doom (OOD)

An offer of doom (also referred to as OOD) is an advertising offer that requires a user to pay a larger amount of money than a standard offer or free trial. Offers of doom include paid services and subscriptions such as:

Satellite television service
Credit card offers requiring a purchase and/or transfer of balance
Magazine subscriptions
Casino, bingo, or other gambling offers
Web Hosting
Home security system installs

This term is typically applied to sites that display only these types of offers when a user is close to finishing the site.

No Credit Card (non-cc)

No credit card offers are aptly named since they do not require you to give out your credit card information. These offers are usually abbreviated into the acronyms 'noncc' or 'nocc'.

Advantages There are many advantages to these offers. For new users, doing these types of offers is a great way to make quick money. Most of them are absolutely free, and there is no chance of credit card fraud whatsoever. They are also extremely easy to complete, and take very little time.

Disadvantages There are many disadvantages to these offers as well. For one, they may not be free even if you don't have to give out your credit card information. Ring tones and other cell phone offers will charge you on your cell phone bill. Loans can have high interest rates which can mess up your credit. Offers requiring you to sign up for a credit card can be costly as well. The biggest disadvantage is crediting. Since these do not require credit card information to be given out, the advertisers may have something they are looking for before they give out credit.

Purchase Products

These offers are as simple as can be, you just buy a product. These offers are typically more expensive than trial or no credit card offers
